LOVE IS WORK (Canada, 2005)
An innovative and surreal meditation on the theme of love, this film weaves together the intense moments in the lives of five couples meeting separately in the same restaurant. Love is Work also delivers an acting tour de force by a great ensemble cast working together to intimately uncover how love is intertwined with just about everything else: money, sex, death, birth and fame. Written and directed by Johnny Kalangis who also plays the male half of one of the five couples.
